I found the "Lewis Pb" at Brownells. I think they had a .32-cal,
but definitely NOT a .22 (use keyword search: Lewis Lead ).
I'm sure I could customize a WeedWhackerLine snake to pull with.
I was thinking more along the lines of some "Scotch-Brite", the
synthetic-scrubbing-pads... Is this a BAD idea that I'm not aware of?

Trya apeisce of that Chore boy scouring pad as I have seen a lot of guys that talk about using it. Just wrap itaround the weedwhacker line and pull it through, it as I understand works well.

I just received a factory-return authorization from Smith-Wesson.
I'll post a follow-up, when I hear their "ruling"...

I shipped the pistol to S-W on 13 Sep.
On 22 Sep, FedEx had a delivery for me
that I got on the 23rd. The work-Order indicated
a "barrel change". It did not appear to be a
"new barrel", but a perfectly good, slightly used barrel
from the "warranty repair work shop".

No comment was made or offered as to the reason.
ie. 'Bad Ammo', rough/bad original barrel...
I got the same S/N gun back and can continue...
S-W handled it very promptly and efficiently.
