Yah, am all tuned up for the .22 match but my big gun scores have suffered for a while now.

Been stuck in expert class for 2 years because of my .45 scores.

I have really picked up on the .22 after installing the Clark barrel(I guess you CAN buy points).

Sold my Rock River .45 and sent the Springfield milspec that I won at the Desert midwinter this last February to a smith and had it built.

Just got her back and sighted it in this Sunday just a week away from the state shoot.

I now have 2 Dave Salyer pistols.
He built my 92FS and now my Springer.

I will post my scores after this weekend is over.

Finally got around to shooting a few NMC wed nite. Talk about rusty. I put about 20 rounds downrange to accustom myself to the triggers again, then started the course.

Ruger MKII, Ultra Dot, CCI Blazer, 50" indoors.

SF-92
TF-98-x0
RF-96-x2

Second round not nearly as nice. Had a 6 & 7 sneak out on the slow fire, and just couldn't get the grip & stance right on the TF & RF. But, it's a work in progress.

SF- 87
TF-90-x3
RF-94-x2

Rusty heck! You were recovering from surgery if I remember it correctly. That's not bad shooting considering all the challenges you've faced. Take it easy and work your way back up into the pace. If you re-injure yourself it will take far longer to recover and try again more slowly.

not my best weekend for sure

How did you do in the Leg match? I see you need a hard leg to go out.

Bullseye;

I won the leg match with a 264-4x
Not enough shooters to get a hard leg.
Since I am not eligible for points the 6 pts went to the next shooter down the ranks.

I am hoping the Desert mid winter this coming February will have enough shooters.
This last Desert I won it but only got 6 pts.
If we would of had one more shooter it would have given me my 8 pointer.

Thinking of maybe going to Camp Penddlton next year to the Navy shoot and get my hard leg there.

There should be plenty of shooters at the match in May at USMCB Pendelton. I think they'll run two leg matches a week apart. One for their Pacific Fleet Championships and the next week one for their All-Navy Championships, that should mean two opportunities for that hard leg if you're so inclined.

This is the best I've shot in a long time, wish I could shoot like this consistently. I don't think I was doing anything different, it's like shooting just felt easy today.
