Which handguns do you own ?

Post by jayman » Tue Feb 09, 2010 10:34 am

Hello everybody,

I want to introduce you "my babes" and I´m curios what kind of handguns you own and shoot.

- Glock17 (my first gun, she´s leavin´now for a match gun in 9mm Luger)
- S&W 686-3 6" "Wheelgunner", .357 Magnum
. CZ 97 Sport, .45 ACP
- Steyr LP10, air pistol

Actually lookin for:
a match pistol in 9mm Luger, in the selection are:
- S&W TC or
- CZ 75 Sport II or
- CZ 75 Viper
and also lookin for a fimfire match pistol:
- Ruger Mark III or
. Hämmerli X-ESSE IPSC

(Because of the school shooting in Winnenden last year and the following gun law increase guns are very cheap in germany.
Many of the older shootist sell their weapons cause they are peeved and have enough.
The bargainers sit on their stuff.)

My "signature" at the bottom of posts lists them, but here goes, with comment:

Ruger Mark III stainless 5.5 inch bull barrel. LCI replaced with stainless plug, and mag safety replaced with washers (Volquartsen Mark II hammer bushing is on its way).

Ruger Single-Six stainless, with 5.5 inch barrel and Hogue Coco Bolo grips. My favorite gun of all time.

Two Beretta 21a Bobcats in .22LR. Black matte finish. One has Pearce rubber grips. These are my concealed carry guns, for which I hear much criticism, but no one has volunteered to get shot to help demonstrate their point.

I owned my current Rugers, in some form, in a past shooting "life" about 30 years ago. I got re-interested in shooting about a year and half ago, and bought my favorites again.

I've always enjoyed .22s, and my budget really likes them.

Ruger Single 6 with red dot.
Colt Ace Conversion
Walther PPKS
S&W 66
S&W 27

And as soon as it warms up a little...
An empty weapon is just a very expensive hammer.

Humpty-dumpty,

I think I have to struggle myself a little.

O.k., great.
I wonder, that some of you a Walther PPK or a PPKS.
This gun is rare in Germany, very sought-after and pricy for a used gun.

Congrats from me.

The PP, PPK, and PPK/s have been a pretty popular cary gun or back up gun for police for a long time. I bought mine about 10 years ago and love it although I don't carry it much anymore. I find it odd that they are rare in germany since they hve been built there for 80 years or so, and it was originally a police gun (Police Pistol (Kriminal) I do believe is the acronym)

Nearby my friend.
"Polizei Pistole kurz/schmal"
"Police Pistol short/slim"
is correct.

The PP was the normal pistol, and the k and s - versions were for concealed carry for the criminal decernates without uniform.

They are very precise and well-searched.
I think you bought them all away 8)

No, the thing is probably, that every older shootist is having one, but don´t use it or give it to an active one.

JMHO
This looks like a great place for the wrong kind to find what they are looking for.
Sot of an enclosed shopping list!
Bud

Beware the man who only has one gun.
HE PROBABLY KNOWS HOW TO USE IT!!!

On that note. I'm surprised the Detroit News or Free Press (now that the A2 News is defunct), doesn't try and publish Pistol Purchase Records in their birdcage liners....
