Ruger Redhawk hammer link hook ?

Post by tguil » Tue Jan 18, 2011 7:34 am

My Redhawk is in the serial number range that has the hammer link hook pointing downward. The current Instruction Manual directs you to reverse the hook when reassembling so that it points upward for "improved performance". So what is the "improved performance"? Been shooting the gun for 25 years with the hammer link hook pointing down using the directions in the manual that came with the gun.

Too much knowledge can mess up us old guys thinking and our wallets too.

BAOM, you are certainly right on that. No way am I going to let anything as silly as knowlege mess up my long held opinions. (As soon as I remember what that opinion was).
