First time shooting a pistol

Post by alvgalb » Mon Apr 18, 2011 8:37 pm

When shooting a pistol what is a better technique 1.- To aim the rear sight with the front sight in the middle and take your time until is well aligned on the target ? or to concentrate in the front sight only over the target?

Depends whether your shoot bullseye of SD. For SD 7yrds and under front site only. Distance >7yrds you must shoot using both front and rear. For speed you pick up the front site first and some times if you have time the rear comes into play.
