Colt Cobra with shroud

Post by ruger22 » Sat May 14, 2011 8:36 pm

When by the LGS today to pick up the check for my consigned Bobcat, finally after six weeks.

I always have a look see what's in the cases, as this LGS is 99% used guns. One thing I'd never seen before was a Colt Cobra snubbie, with a hammer shroud that screwed on. Gun looked very low miles in bore and action, wood Colt grips, finish was about 90% with holster wear. Tag was $799, not a consigned gun. Understand these were made about 1950-65, LGS owner said this one was 1955.

The shroud looked like an idea that should still be used. Had a screw on both sides at top, one screw centered at bottom, Colt logo on side. Looked to be aluminum, maybe.
