That's a gun with some history to it. While it would be nice to own for various reasons, it's a little over my budget.

A little gruesome to think that people may have been killed with it, although I understand Al's favorite weapon was a Louisville Slugger.

I went back and read the article. I'm not sure Capone would have used it to kill a few folks. I also have a quibble with
At that time, the Colt .38 would have been one of the most reliable and most easily concealed handguns available.
I have an S&W made about the same time. May not be quite as small, but it's been fairly reliable.

Collecting guns

I can understand why folk have an interest in building a gun collection = rare, old, noteworthy.. or notorious even. IMHO, these types of weapons are hard to justify if one is not gong to shoot them. Museums buy stuff to just display / look at... regular folk generally intend to use what we buy.

I know we can all think of more effective / worthwhile uses for $100K.
