Paging allendavis, paging allendavis,

In this long and drawn out thread
{ http://www.guntalk-online.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=135 } we were discussing HP38 and Win 231.

Since that thread there has been a couple things happen that might help prove my position on these two powders.

Last year Olin sold the rights to sell Winchester powders to Hodgdons.

This years Hodgdons Annual Manual has data for both Win 231 and Hodgdons HP38 in it. I haven't perused the entire data section yet, but in every case where they have listed both powders, they have had the same charge weight, pressure and velocity.

There is no disclaimers to the effect that this data applies only to Hodgdons sold 231 either. Leading to the conclusion that there is no difference.

If this new data don't prove they are the same, I don't know what will.

I got my copy of the Annual Manual at a local grocery store.

Joe
