Apparently I've been misinformed so I pulled this message.

I thought I'd seen that exact same picture before!
I think you got told a tale, Boss ... that picture has been on the web as a "screwup reloader" picture for quite a while.

Thanks for that "Heads-up". Your explanation makes much more sense. I guess I will have to do more homework before passing on stuff like that in the future. Yep, even I can get Hoaxed once in a while.

This was emailed to me and I forwarded it to Bullseye. This was the first time I had seen this one.

All ammo is "is a controlled burn/explosion". Certain powders are very moody and can spike more at low pressures than high.

I do not use ultra fast burn powders and particularly powders that are Fast and High Density. Meaning takes very little powder. Too hard to tell if you over charge.

Bottom Line, Be safe including proper PPE

that's the first time a "reverse image search" has ever been useful ... so something good came of it!

Thanks for posting the links. But how do you do a reverse image search?

I have seen that picture many times over the years. I believe it was a double charge of some fast burning powder is what they say caused it.
