Remington's new R-51
Moderators: Bullseye, Moderators
Guns & Ammo has an article about it, and another article about the original Model 51. Read them at the grocery store this morning while wife shopped (I like groceries with magazine racks!).
Sounds great, aluminum frame, no plastic thank goodness. Article shows MSRP as $420, guesses street price of $375.
Now that Remington has two handguns on the market, we wonder what's next? I'm glad they seem to be sticking to a higher quality ideal. The R51 could have been polymer, yecchh!...........
The article on the originals details a difficult disassembly and assembly. Looks even harder than a Ruger Mark I-II-III..........
If I needed another centerfire handgun, the R51 might be it.
