Taurus View snub revolver

Post by ruger22 » Tue Sep 16, 2014 8:16 pm

Anybody care to see the action move in your snubbie? I didn't know this existed until I saw it in a gun mag at the drugstore a few days ago. This thing makes my LCRs look absolutely beautiful. Looks impossible to hold on to.

It's a selling feature. Not sure I'd want a clear polyacrylate cover to scratch up.

Did you notice the way they were advertising the internal lock? It's the Taurus Security System. If you have to put one on the pistol, why not accentuate the positive?

I have a 94 which is essentially the same gun in .22, black without the View. It's ok.

An acquaintance has an 85 or 850. Full time pocket carry. He does home handyman and the Taurus takes a beating. At one time he was shooting 200+ reloads a week. After several years he pretty much wore the moving parts out. Taurus did a full refurbish on the gun, no charge. I liked the way that revolver shot and withstood abuse. The way Taurus covered the warranty was a plus.

The butt of the gun is curved a bit to " conceal better"...

You need one to replace your 442. Also, you need to start using the security system. Just pull out the key and unlock the revolver when you need to use it.

I've thought about the Taurus statement and feel much safer and more secure with this feature. Any time I need it I can just unlock it. At all other times it is secure. Now all I have to do is remember which key ring the key is on.
