Handled new three inch LCRx

Post by ruger22 » Fri Dec 26, 2014 2:37 pm

Saw one this morning, and like it. Somehow, it's not as ugly as the photos I've seen. Nice fit and finish, everything worked smooth, with the usual nice centerfire LCR trigger. The grip feels good, which I hate saying since I normally hate these peg mounted grips. It would be a good upgrade for any LCR for non-CCW use. The rear sight is kinda tiny, but works. The white paint insert on the front blade doesn't quite fill the rear notch.

Sportsman's Warehouse has it tagged $459. The .22 SP-101 is $679. When the .22LR version comes out, I'll just hope I have the cash. I would greatly prefer it over the .22 SP-101, and not just because it's $220 cheaper!

I've written Ruger's "Tell The CEO" and suggested that they make the .22LR the usual brush finish, with a stainless frame. It would be a perfect "kit gun", maybe even better than the Bearcat, and brushed stainless would make it even better for that use.
* Two Bearcat stainless, w/ EWK ejector housings & Wolff springs
* SP-101 .22LR, w/ Wolff springs
* Two NAA Guardian .32ACP
* Three Zastava M70 .32ACP
* S&W 15-22 Sport (.22LR AR)
