The M9A3 isn't going to be considered for the new Modular Handgun System (MHS) replacement. Maybe they will remember the M1911 did a pretty fair job.

I think/hope they will, since they needing more stopping power.

I think Berretta missed the whole Idea.. they improved their 92 for sure... but thats not that the Army was looking for .. they were looking for a MODULAR system that could be adapted for different missions....

I would say the M&P 45 with the thumb safety would be a fairly good choice...

The M&P was second in the previous tests, IIRC. They didn't like the thumb safety but thought a decocker was better.
