Poor boy's trigger job

Is anyone of you familiar with this mod? And if so is it reliable? I did it to my new Ruger and it does make the trigger action lighter....

Did it to my Ruger Bisley 44 and it works well.

Trigger pull weight data on my 3 Rugers:

Mark II after trigger job = 1lb 5 oz
22 SA with modification = 2lbs 6.7 oz (stock trigger spring)
44 mag SA with modification = 2lbs 10.9 oz (stock trigger spring)
45 SA without modification = 3lbs 3.2oz, with mode = 1lb 6.1oz (wolf trigger spring)

I've been using my Superblackhawk like this for years. Never had any reliability issues. Just make sure when drawing the hammer back that it seats on the sear, or you might have an AD due to the sear not having as much pressure seating it to the hammer.
