I was wondering if any of you out there in firearm cyberspace can tell me anything about the new Taurus Judge that just came out. It shoots 45 and 410 shotshell. Mostly I would like to know the price of it, since I cannot find that anywhere.

I saw a couple on Gunbroker for $475-500. I didn't see them listed anywhere else.

Thanks for the info on the Taurus Judge price range. It is a very interesting gun, to say the least. It seems like an idea that could catch on with other manufacturers as well.

I have one of those pistols and I must say that if I had to do it over again I wouldn't buy it. After shooting maybe 50 rounds out of it the cylinder would not stay locked. I sent it back to Taurus and it took them 12-14 weeks to return it to me. Haven't shot it since. Why? Because it's not all that accurate. I'd rather shoot my Vaquero any day, but as a snake gun it sure enough serves its purpose.

BTW, on Sunday I reloaded 200 rounds of 45 long colt, but I guess now I must find the time to shoot them all

Thanks for the report on the Taurus Judge. I appreciate it. Hopefully it will work a lot better for you now that Taurus fixed it.

If I call any of my guns a "snakegun" because it hits a snake- man, to me THAT is all the accuracy I can ever ask of any of my guns. Anything better than that will just be icing.

BTW, I live in rattlesnake country: some ranges have signs saying "BEWARE OF RATTLESNAKES". Though I noticed that lately, some signboards are gone, I'm pretty sure the rattlers are not.

I've fired 5 rounds from one (2 .45 and 3 410 birdshot) at 15 yards. The .45 accuracy wasn't bad. The birdshot made multiple hits in a 4X4 backer. Think the birdshot would do better at a closer range. It did better than I thought it would.
