Remington Spartan

Fired a couple rounds from a Remington Spartan 18 in .308 today. Light little rifle. Single shot, break open loading and ejecting. Supposedly you can add a shot gun barrel or another caliber by switching barrels.

I fired two rounds and did ok at 50 yards with open sghts. The rifle is light and easy to carry. Take down and barrel removal is easy. Although the barrel is has something that looks like a rail for optics, it looks too short to get a decent scope on the rifle. There was a touch of recoil shooting .308. A heavier rifle would have been a bit easier.

Interesting if you are looking for a single shot rifle/shot gun that you would shoot 20 rounds per year and hunt with shots 50-100 yards.
