My Wifes First Time Shooting A High Power Rifle

My wife Erica shot these two shots today and I'm so thrilled. She made the holes w/ my .270 and has never shot a high powered rifle or used a scope. Her shoulder sometimes gives her pain so I wanted her to give the .270 a try before I thought of maybe purchasing a .243. The gun didn't give her any pain though so I'm happy about that. Im even more happy I finally have someone to share this sport with. Anyway, heres the pics.
The first shot at 100yrds. was a half inch high and the second isn't near the the bullseye but I'm still proud.

Always nice to get the spouse interested in shooting. Gives you both something else in common. My bride likes to shoot too.

Some years prior to getting to know my future wife, I saw her cleaning up with her 45 on the combat range in Dallas. She had that "Jane Russel" thing going... If somebody had told me then that I would end up married to that chick, I would have thought they were from wig city.

Excellent! But don't make the mistake I made, teach her NOW how to clean her own weapons, and even reload what she'll shoot. Or you will be forever....

She'd fired shot guns and pistols w/ me but the look in her eyes after shooting that rifle I knew she was hooked.

Mine is very fond of the AR15. I just have to take the extra weights out of one for her to shoot it comfortably.

Its my 760 Gamemaster in .270. I've commented on this rifle in some of my other post. It was past from my granddad to my dad to me. It was manufactured in March of 53 and 3 out of 5 deer I took this year were over 250yds. I wish I had some better pics of it. It litterally looks like it came out of the box yesterday. Its the only thing I have of my granddads other than a pic of me and him the day he smeared blood of my first deer on my face. heres a few more pics.

Nice looking 760. Always a joy to keep passing the family guns down to another willing shooter.
I've got my Dad's 742 Woodsmaster BDL that's going to one of my boys (in 25 yrs or so...)!

Thats how I feel on the age too. He'll have to show me he's responsible and would never get rid of it. teens do some stupid sh--.

Knew that had to be a Remington as the rear stock gave it away, nice rifle.

Yeah, I get alot of compliments on it. A lot of people aren't big on Remington, they think its a way to give poor man a chance to buy hunting rifles. And I'm not crazy about some of them but, it depends on the models. I was looking at a .308 in a model 700, it had a bullbarrell and laminate stock and it caught my interest. Another I got my eye on is 700 longrange target w/ the triangle barrells- they go for about 1700 dollars but man they look like they'd shoot good. As for the Gamemasters like mine though, the only ones I ever seen that I dont like are the basketweave models that are alot newer model than my gun.
