.223 on Turkey

Post by jaeger45 » Sun Nov 13, 2005 7:27 am

Hi, guys-
I'd seen the effects of the Garand and the carbine cal. 30 on human tissue, but not of the .223. (All right, you've got my number, guys. (^o^) I know that unless the bullet hits bone and wanders around a bit before leaving, it usually makes a nice, clean hole. Anyway, after having read so much about the "keyhole" effect of the .223, I just got to wondering what a .223 SP will do to a turkey- I mean, the feahered one, and live, not Butterball. :D
Anybody?
A bad shot is often caused by a loose nut behind the buttplate
