Removing the Mag Safety

Post by 5focus » Sun Jul 29, 2007 1:44 am

I hear from the forums to use a Mark ll Hammer and a spacer to take up the slop. Has anybodyelse tried it without the spacers?

I installed a Sear from Rinfire in my Ruger 678H 22/45. During the assembly I purposely left out the Mag Safety. Moving the Sear back and forth I notice there was no difference in the trigger pull or any visual problems. So completed the assembly and off to the range for testing.

That was over a year ago and several thousand rounds. The trigger measures at 2# pounds with some nice pre=travel. Pulling the triggers up to the Sear, all you have to do is think about firing and its off. Also the Mag flys out now.

The gun gets alot a compliments and it hits the red almost half the time at the standing 25 yard target.
