Can you believe it. I was at my favorite eatery this morning. They have free Wi-Fi as part of their service.
Although I do not need it I decided to use it and when I tried to access Bullseye's guntalk online the Website was blocked by some kind of filter.

I then accessed the website using my PC mobile card and it came up .NO problem.

You would think one was watching pornography in public. It is just a forum about firearms. Sad,sad sad.

That evil word GUN can get you blocked at the PC cafes.

I was on a road trip this week and had the same problem. Could not access the site via a wireless connection.

I could get to the home page, but when I tried to get to the forum, I got a notice that I had been banned.

Things returned to normal when I got home. I'm guessing it's part of the spam blocker funtion at this site.

Fortunately, I was only gone for 6 days, so the withdrawal didn't get too severe...

In your case, the wireless server may have been using a ISP host address that I have blocked due to extreme spamming. If you got a banning notice from Guntalk-Online, then my software automatically defaulted to the "banned" screen. Unfortunately, this is free bulletin board software and it isn't all that specific when something is blocked, it just has one notification screen.

That's pretty much what I figured. No problem, it's a minor inconvenience for a spam-free forum.
