I sold my Marlin .44 lever action deer rifle & replaced it with a 22" SS fluted .44 Mag barrel for my Encore & I also got a 12" .44 Mag pistol barrel & a 24" .223 Rem. rifle barrel. I probably won't get a chance to shoot them until the weekend but I'll be patiently waiting until then. If this .223 barrel is half as accurate as my 209X50 muzzleloader barrel it will be a real blast to shoot. I hope the .44 mag pistol is not more than I can handle. I've got some pretty severe nerve damage in my hands & it makes it hard to grasp anything tightly. My buddy has a S&W 629 .44 & I can just barely handle it & it has a 6.?" barrel where my Encore is 12". We'll see I guess. If so, I know where I can get a .41 mag pistol barrel that might be a little easier to handle. I guess I could always run .44 spcl in it if mags are a problem for me. [/img]
