I stumbled upon this 168pp Paperback book, pub 2002.
It's $10 at WallyMart.com - ISBN: 0873644883
'Ruger 22 Automatic Pistol: Standard, Mark-I, Mark-II Series'
by Duncan Long

Note: this is PRE-Mark-III, it is just Mark-I -and- Mark-II

He has a webpage at http://www.DuncanLong.com/
(not exactly what I expected from an author of books on various weapons)

http://www.WalMart.com/catalog/product. ... id=1509858

I've ordered it, i'll post an "opinion" later...
Does anyone already have it or has seen it... ?
EDIT: good book: nice History and thorough model-desc.
I'm glad I got it, I'd order it again, especially for $10 price.

I have heard many folks praise Duncan Long's book and his research on the Mark II.

Wow! How did you do that? I used the link and searched under Duncan long, and Ruger .22, and got referred to Barnes and Noble! They don't have it , either. I have been looking for that book FOREVER! Lucky you!

A check of this link shows Amazon has one copy left http://www.amazon.com/Ruger-22-Automati ... 0873644883

They say they'll be getting more copies. Amason has several listed as new or used for sale on another link. IF you don't mind a used copy then look here http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/ ... 94-1166033

If you copy and paste the ISBN into Google, there's plenty of other book supplier sources that claim to have new copies of this book on hand.

I only own A Mark III, but used to have a Mark I. Even so, I picked this up at a gun show a few months back for $12 and it's a really good book. The history and development are interesting, and the technical details still apply to even the Mark III for the most part. Any Ruger Mark whatever fan should have this book.
