This is it #600

Post by bearandoldman » Wed Jul 09, 2008 8:13 pm

I have now reached my goal and have achieved the rank of Ye Olde Pharte of the ancient and Honorable order of Phartes.

Onward and upward after even more lofty goals in my older age.
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

Thanks much old bud, I joined this forum as soon as I found it wqs up aqnd running and am member #4.
Sure glad you strted this when Rookfirst had problems on his forum where you and I and J57ltr were moderators after Radar dropped out of site. I wqs in touch with him for a while but no longer. I do hit that old forum now and then but rarely is there a post on it anymore.
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

I appreciate your membership old friend. That old forum is mostly dead. I rarely check in there anymore. The owner didn't want to take the action necessary to run it properly and that caused spammers to overload the system. Here I have more control and that keeps the forum running smoothly without interference from bad influences. I believe he just finally stopped taking on new members and the discussion forum has withered down to barely a trickle.

Take care.

You have achieved a pinnacle of success reserved for only those willing to ingest a case of refried beans a month.

I am so jealous.

I too will one day receive my just reward... but not this day.

Holy cow! Hermit, where the heck have you been? I figured your favorites dumped and you lost your way back here.

How long has it been since your last post?

Welcome back! Good to see you're alive and well. :D

Lost, then Found

Post by arizona-hermit » Thu Jul 24, 2008 3:02 am

I have been on an 'adventure' and only recently returned to 'reality'. Was missing the fellowship and quality information always present here, so I decided to reestablish contact with my favorite folks in cyberspace.

Doubt I will reach 600 posts any time soon, but you just never know ;-)

It has only been a year or so Bullseye. I procrastinate that long nearly every day in completing my Honey Do list.

Doesn't everyone?

I have worked long and hard to get where I am, but now at my age I'm not really sure where I am or why I wanted to get here, but I am here. Hope all is well with you Hermit, Bear sends a Woooofie and a couple of face licks. :D

Great to hear from you again. I can understand being overcome by events and having to prioritize your free time. That plus I do my fair share of procrastinating. My honey-do list keeps growing exponentially. Once I start a project, I'll find four more related things that need to be done along with it to scratch that item off the list. Maybe I shouldn't be doing those things and then list will only be 25% as long. OK, it's twisted logic but hey it works for me!

Take care and don't stay away so long.
