I shot my first model 41 at the range the other day. I was shooting my 10/22 and another guy shared his toys with me (and I with him....he loved my mkii btw) and handed me his 41. nice crisp trigger, good heft and feel. I plinked at a small spinner he had set up at 15 yards and had no problem hitting the 1.5" spinners with the dot he had on it. nice gun.
I think I like my mkii better because the price leaves more money to buy ammo!! but I would not turn one down if I saw one at a good price. or if greener wanted to find a birthday present for me

They're getting few and far between but if one is really patient enough you can still find M-41s at a decent price.

Thanks for reminding me, I've got less than two weeks.
Greentop has had a used M41 ($899) for a long time. Rumor has it that the pistol has a couple of problems. Seeing that a new one is much more, that one is not very attractive.
With the money I've spent on .22 semiauto's I probably could have at least one M41. But where's the fun in that?
PS. I'd remind someone that Father's Day isn't that far away.

As ;ong as you guys are getting all them 41's you can get me one too, or save your money and just get me another 10/22. I bought my March gun, are you and the Big Greener getting one too?
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

Guess the Big Greener is the only one with his March quota open. I bought the 1522 for my March gun.

I was thinking along the lines of an heirloom for my grandson.

The 41 is another that is in the "Why did I wait so long" category. It is the one pistol that I shoot most often and always puts a smile on my face. I bought two of them used, one at $650 & one at $750. I wanted to find out how to take care of them and our own Bullseye put together the Maintenance info in our Tech section in answer to my plea. My first experience with GunTalk and the great 41. I only feed them CCI Standard Vel, and keep them clean which is easy to do with the ability to have the barrel off in seconds by dropping the trigger guard. What a fantastic design! My only problem was that once my Brother shot one he had to have one of mine
