Hi everyone-I'm a noob
Can someone tell me anything about a Talo Excutive vs. a 22/45 or Mklll?
I have been researching all three and can't see that much difference cept for the price.
Thanks, looking forward to being active here once I buy one of these rimmers.

IMHO you pay extra for a lot of "Bling" on the talo and that doesn't make them shoot any better than a regular Ruger.
I like the steel framed MKIIIs over the 22/45. I don't care for the Polymer grip frame on the 22/45 but that is just me.

All the Ruger 22 Auto pistols function basically the same. The special edition pistols typically come with features not normally found in a regular production pistol. Unless there's some feature, like a slabbed barrel, that you cannot live without, you can go with any of the lot and have a great shooting firearm.
Gold plated triggers or bolts just aren't my thing.

No experience with the Talo, but the MKIII and 22/45 differ grip angle (along with the steel versus polymer grip frames). The MKIII 22/45 grip is also a bit thin. It took a very short time to acclimate to the 22/45 grip. Both pistols will shoot very well. I believe both will last a very long time without trouble. Comes down to a matter of choice and preference.

A MKII hammer bushing will work with a MKIII hammer then you can do away with the mag safety stuff.mopac wrote:Just wondering if a Mark lll hammer bushing can be used with a Mkll VQ hammer on a Mk lll? Can't seem to find any listing for the bushing.

The answer you're seeking of using a Mark III bushing with a Mark II hammer is no; as long as if your planning on using all the Mark III magazine disconnector safety assembly components with it.
The Mark III hammer is relieved on the right side to allow extra room for the mag disconnect return spring coils.
Now if you're talking about using just the hammer bushing, and modifying the hook so that its just basically a round washer-like part without the disconnector return spring; then the answer is yes, it will fit on a Mark II hammer.
Hope this helps.
