If you think it may cause a problem you may want to put it in the deep freeze overnight before carrying it. Make sure you use an outside holster though so as not to get frostbite. Laughing
I bet an inside the belt holster would give you freezer burns. I would have to wear flannel undies. At least the integrity of the polymer would be good.

Seriously? Of course they don't get soft on a hot day ... it isn't made out of milk jug plastic or something.

Perhaps you should read the text of the torture test I posted, if the frame didn't soften when "The barrel and slide, and even the trigger, would get painfully hot to the touch, and water would literally boil and evaporate off the slide on contact" I don't think riding along in your pants or sitting in the sun would make a difference.

Not serious BFD, just having a little fun with the subject matter. I guess we need a little entertainment. I own two "poly's" myself, and they are nice guns. Although, I thought one of them warped during this hot summer's heat ? Maybe I'm mistaken?

Eventually, but then so does steel and aluminum and all them other exotic alloy and the magnesium burns really bright also.
I guess you've seen one of the old VW engines catch fire and burn. Really bright and really white metal dripping from the engine and burning.

You probably have a better chance of wood warping in wet or heat than the polymers used in firearms. But then, wood is a polymeric material.

Don't worry, the new "National Health Care Plan" will take care of you, Obama promises.

I didn't vote for him but he is our President anf should be respected but not necessarily trusted. I do not totally trust many people, so he is not being singled out.

Well, I didn't vote for him either, and I don't really trust him. He's trying to sneak in legislation without giving people (and congress) a chance to hash it out. When asked and NBC today show whether he and his family, or congressmen and senators if they would be using the same health plan as the common man he hesitated and then said no. They have their own elite plan. I desire to be patriotic when it comes our country and goverment, but too many times our politicians screw the working class individual. I'm tired of being gullible and getting screwed when I turn my back. Most politicians are out for themselves.

Also, watch the special interest groups that come out in support of these types of legislative programs because they're getting something out of it too.

Riiiiight, they are not doing it out of the goodness of their heart. Deep down the driving force of every man is to take care of himself first and others later. I look out for Ma and I and Bear, others come further down the list.
Bear and I are headed to the range shortly to refine the setup of our new Savage
MarkIIGL shortly as the weather looks good today. time for an old man and a dog to go out and play.
