I've heard of that trick before with the drop of oil. My Sig Mosquito is very picky on ammo type, and Sig suggests the same thing. I'm a little stubborn that way, in that I feel that I shouldn't have to do such things to get a gun to work. But what ever works for the owner. Maybe it would have worked for me with my Ruger, it was failing 4 out of 10 shots (approx), making it "unshootable" to me.

Me too and it would also be gone to a new home. Shot this target the other day with some Eley Sport I still have a few boxes around from Spring. Remona, my 572 pump with Weaver K4 from 25 yards rested. The one high one is probably operator error.Hakaman wrote: But what ever works for the owner. You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

If we are talking about the Mexican Eley Sport in the purple box, I like it. I fire it in bullseye league with the 208s Hammerli. And it does great in my MkII. I class it right with Aguila SV. Both of these are my standard bullseye ammo. I do use Eley Target (yellow) for SF at the big match. I also use Wolf MT in the higher up matches in guns that will cycle with it.
