How much did you shoot last year?

Post by blue68f100 » Sat Jan 14, 2012 8:46 pm

I was looking through my reloading/shooting logs and noticed I shot a lot last year. In prior years I have avg 5000/yr. But last year was above normal and I thought I was shooting less. Any way here is my Center Fire Handgun.

9mm = 4200
45acp = 1630
357mag = 100

I lost track/count on how may 22's I shot....

Not as much as you blue, but with my boat dock setting on the ground and dry lake beds I turn more to shooting. I bought an AR 15 and have 2000 rds plus fired and 95% I reloaded. Of course 22rf many thousands. Regards

All rimfire for me, I would guess around 3500-4000 rounds. About $200. I cringe at the thought of what that would cost in centerfire. I really understand why people reload.

I know that even if .44 mag was ten cents a round, many would still reload for the enjoyment and the ability to have tailored rounds.

I have finished reloading all of my empties, 9mm and 45acp. This is where a AP press is worth it, 600/hr with my setup. Now I don't have to reload again till next year. Unless I need some special loads.

HI Ya Ruger and friends,
I dont know about reloading 44's but I guesstimate my .45acp's at .05c each. I smelt, cast, and reload 'em, ever since ammo was hard to get. One caveat; my lead blood level has reached 20 and i am laying off casting a while.
So what have I shot last year:
4,000 9mm
2,000 .45acp
300 .38/.357
3,000+ .22LR

and everyone elses gun a few rounds. :D

max
much obliged,

Max

Back in my misspent college days we considered those who counted the number of beers they drank to be not serious beer driners. I think shooting is about the same. If you are counting for any reason other than to make sure you take enough, you aren't a serious shooter. :lol:

I keep records on reloading, but do not keep records on how much .22 I have. This year is down because of weather, fishing and other distractions.

How many rounds do I shoot? Enough to enjoy when I go shooting and I'm not shooting as much as I'd like this year.

Maybe bgreene and oldman can help me through some lead downrange in a couple weeks.
