I went out to the range to try out some 40 S&w loads with auto comp powder. Seemed pretty consistent ammo but I did find out that is not low flash, especially not out of a g22c. That's a ported glockenspiel.

The other gun is a colt commando.

I was impressed by the Speer Gold dots I carry as duty ammo. I've shot many deer at night with them and never noticed muzzle flash like with the Auto comp powder...

The main reason to carry production ammo. All of the carry ammo I know of is low flash. I've noticed the WST is low flash compared to the other powders I've used. I guess the faster powders burn up in the barrel length.
If you want flash use W296 in the 357mag

Blue Dot in a 4" 357 is equally impressive!

I just sold about 6lbs of AutoComp because I didn't like it for my applications, it always seemed a little inconsistent to me. I guess it was made for compensated guns, hence the name, but with 9's, 38's, 45's I couldn't find a happy load.
